I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand until the age of 16. After finishing college and facing an empty nest, It was time for a new challenge. I followed my dream of opening a restaurant and the Thai Cafe opened twelve years ago in Broad Ripple, Indianapolis, IN.
I use all natural ingredients in my sauces and curry pastes. Many of the ingredients used at the Thai Cafe in the summer are homegrown: sweet and holy basil, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, mint, chili peppers, and tomatoes. After listening to my vegan and food-sensitive customers, I was motivated to make my own sauces.
After twelve years of designing dishes to fit my customers' needs, I stumbled upon the perfect balance of flavor and spice tantalizing to the taste buds. Wan's Satay Sauce (vegan friendly and no peanuts) and Wan's Peanut Sauce are now available for sale at The Thai Cafe, Amazon as well as these stores.
